Seller Comments

I am looking to sell my 2005 Chevy Cavalier. Currently I have it stored at a friends house and need to get it out. I will be up front as there are issues with it. That being said I am selling it AS IS with no guarantee on performance, safety, and condition. It would be a good project car to fix up I just dont have the time for it right now. The mirrors, windows, and locks are all manual. The trunk has an electric button, so it can be opened from the driver side. It has the stock sound system in it AM/FM radio and a CD player. Last I checked both the heat and A/C work. Listed below are all the issues I am aware of. There is no muffler. In its place is just a straight pipe welded on with an exhaust tip on the back side The instrument panel has some issues with the gauges. I replaced the stepper motor for the temperature gauge which worked for a while. Now the speedometer does not work. I cant remember the status of the other gauges. I have the motors for the cluster I just never got around to installing them. The windows are manual and 3 of them work. The driver window will roll up and down, but the gear inside is broken and its difficult to use. It also will not roll up completely. It needs a battery. I jumped it with no battery and drove it to my friends place. So that means the alternator should be good as I drove it a ways without a battery and had no issues. There is no rear view mirror on the windshield There is a small hole on the top of the car near the center of the windshield. Last I checked it didnt go all the way through, but it has been sitting for several months, so that might be different. The windshield is cracked It has since suffered some minor hail damage as a result of being stored outside The driver seat will not sit up all the way. It sits back quite a bit. I had to use a thick pillow to drive it to my friends. It burns oil. When I was still using it as my main vehicle I had to put about a quart in every 60 ish days. If youve made it this far and are interested, or have question please reach out. This car served me well for 10 years. If I had the time and space Id fix it and keep it, but I dont so here it is.
