On April 8, 2009 we purchased a 1973 Cadillac Eldorado for $1,000. We found an ad for the car on Cars For a Grand in the cheap used cars in Chicago section. Unfortunately we were in Chicago and the car was in Thomson, IL, a small town about 150 miles to the west. Undaunted, we rented a car and hit the road, drawn by the cherry red convertible we had seen in the photos.
